Day Eighteen of the 19 Days Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda Safari Holiday begins with sunrise over Lake Bunyonyi’s islands as mist gently lifts off the glassy waters. After breakfast, guests begin the scenic return journey to Entebbe, traveling through southwestern Uganda’s fertile countryside.

The drive passes through terraced farmlands, roadside markets, cattle corridors, and bustling town centers. Uganda’s rural life unfolds in full color children walking to school, farmers tending crops, and vendors displaying fruits along the roadside. Lunch is enjoyed en route.

Arrival in Entebbe takes place in the late afternoon. Guests check in at Airport Link Guest House or Best Western Premier Garden Hotel for final relaxation. The lakeside breeze, swimming pool, and peaceful atmosphere offer perfect closure after weeks of adventure.

The evening is reserved for rest, souvenir packing, and sharing safari stories. Tomorrow marks the final wildlife chapter with one of Africa’s most legendary bird encounters.

The final chapter of the 19 Days Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda Safari Holiday begins at dawn with departure to Mabamba Swamp, located along the shores of Lake Victoria. This wetland is globally famous as one of the best places in Africa to track the legendary shoebill stork one of the world’s most prehistoric-looking birds.

Travel by motorized canoe through narrow papyrus channels creates thrilling anticipation. The swamp feels timeless. Birdlife explodes in every direction: kingfishers dive for fish, jacanas walk on floating vegetation, and herons rise silently from reeds. Then, suddenly, the shoebill appears tall, motionless, alien-like standing patiently in the shallows before striking with lightning speed.

Shoebill sightings are never guaranteed, which makes each encounter profoundly special. Once sightings conclude, guests return to Entebbe for lunch and final airport transfer for international departure.

This moment marks the official end of one of East Africa’s finest multi-country safari journeys.
